Three Idyllic self catering luxury holiday cottages located in the heart of South Devon...

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF THE BOOKING

Please read these terms and conditions below. Should you not understand anything please call us on: 01803 782022.

CONTRACT:

The Contract for a short-term holiday rental will be between the Owners of Aish Cross Holiday Cottages (referred to as “us” or “we”) and the person making the booking and all members of the holiday party (referred to as “you” or “your”) under the following booking conditions. UK law will govern the Contract. The contract of hire is not effective until we have received and processed the deposit. The contract will be subject to these booking conditions and must be complied with. The party leader must be at least 18 years of age at the time of booking and the booking form must list names, addresses and ages of your party.

BOOKING PERIODS:

From 16.00 Saturday to 09.15 Saturday – short breaks and other periods by arrangement. Booking by telephone must be confirmed using the booking form.

CHARGES & TERMS:

A telephone booking must be accompanied by a 30% non-returnable deposit. A damage deposit is payable upon request, refunded upon the satisfactory completion of the rental period. Breakages are charged at our discretion.

The full cost of the holiday is payable 56 days before arrival.

CANCELLATION:

CANCELLATION BY YOU – bookings placed after 25th October 2021.

Cancellations must be immediately notified to us and confirmed in writing. The treatment of a cancellation will depend on a) the date the booking was made, and b) when the cancellation is made: Cancellation Terms

Bookings placed AFTER 25th October 2021 are covered by our Cancel Cover Policy, and are subject to the following terms:

If you cancel up to and including 2 days before check-in date for any reason OTHER THAN CORONAVIRUS ILLNESS OR SELF-ISOLATION*, you will receive a refund of 95% of the accommodation costs you have paid, plus any pre-paid extras. Refunds for payment for cancelled bookings will be released back to the cancelling guest at the latest within 2 weeks of cancellation. Cancellations made 1 day before, or on the day of arrival will not be eligible for a refund. Example: for a check-in on Saturday you could cancel on the previous Thursday before 16.00 and be reimbursed in full, but not on Friday (1 day prior) or Saturday (day of check-in).

*We are not able to cover you (or members of your party) for being unable to travel because you (or a member of your party) fall ill with Covid, or are required to quarantine or self-isolate. These events may be covered by you taking out travel insurance. There are a number of policies that include cover for illness with Covid and self-isolation, and some annual travel policies also cover this.

For this reason we strongly recommend that you also take out your own travel insurance for UK holidays which covers booking cancellations. This is available at very affordable rates, and gives you the peace of mind that you will get your money back if you need to cancel your holiday. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation not falling within the terms of our cover. You can look for suitable cover on comparison sites such as GoCompare.

CANCELLATION BY YOU – bookings placed before 25th October 2021 – we will allow you to change the dates (subject to tariff and availability applicable to the revised period and an administrator charge of £75).

In the event of you not wishing to transfer your booking and wishing to receive a refund on cancellation the following scale of charges will apply:-

If you cancel 61 or more days before check-in date, we will endeavour to re-let the property for those dates. If we are able to re-let your dates, we will refund you the deposit amount (which may be less than you paid – e.g. if the final letting price was discounted or only some of the days are re- let) less an administration fee of 10%. If we are unable to re-let you remain responsible for the deposit and there will be no refund under any circumstances. For this reason, we strongly recommend you take out your own travel insurance for UK holidays which covers booking cancellations. This is available at very affordable rates, and gives you the peace of mind that you will get your money back if you need to cancel your holiday. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.

You will be reimbursed at the check-out date of your original booking.

In the event of you not wishing to transfer your booking and wish to receive a refund on cancellation/curtailment the following scale of charges will apply:-

CANCELLATION CHARGES

More than 60 Days        See above

43-56 Days                   60% of total cost

29-42 Days                   60% of total cost

8-28 Days                     90% of total cost

7 days or less                95% of total cost

We will make every effort to re-let the accommodation, and in the event of successfully doing so, we will offer you the option to waive the above cancellation charge and receive a refund of the cost of your holiday less any shortfall or expenses in the re-booking of the accommodation should this be more financially advantageous to you.

A £75 administration fee will be charged for each alteration.

CANCELLATION BY YOU – Covid, National, Regional Lockdowns

National Lockdown – In the event of a Government Imposed national lockdown that coincides with your holiday, where you are unable to travel, and we are prevented from opening, you will receive a full refund.

Regional/Local Lockdown – In the event that the address given on the booking is put into Local/Regional Lockdown, rendering you unable to travel, and the period of restriction covers the period of your booking, you will receive a full refund. Please note that this applies only to the address given on the booking by the lead booker and does not apply if an unidentified party member at a different address is unable to travel due to local lockdown.

HOLIDAY CANCELLATION INSURANCE

It Is the responsibility of the Lead Guest to acquire suitable insurance to cover their holiday, including Cancellation and Curtailment Protection. We strongly recommend that you take out suitable insurance which will cover you for possible cancellation of your UK holiday. There are several suitable options which may include cover for COVID-related cancellations (see below), or you can look for suitable cover on comparison sites such as www.gocompare.com. We are not selling, promoting or endorsing or recommending any particular product, and do not benefit financially or have any formal relationships with any of these providers: –
