Our orchard garden

 

Extending to over an acre the pretty orchard garden is for the exclusive enjoyment of our guests. This peaceful setting is the ideal place to relax either on a sunbed or in one of the hammock chairs. The large gazebo and rattan furniture is ideal for ‘al fresco’ dining or just enjoying a drink with friends. The large fire pit will keep you warm in the evening and the BBQs are there for those who like cooking in ‘the great outdoors’

 

In ‘The Garden Shed’ For children (and adults!) we have plenty of garden games and entertainment such as croquet,cricket,  football etc. There is also an assortment of children’s buckets, spades, crabbing lines and nets (crabbing is a popular children’s pastime at the Mill Pond in Stoke Gabriel). The garden also has swings and a trampoline!

ISLAND ROSE GARDEN

ENJOY THE PEACE AND TRANQUILITY OF OUR ISLAND ROSE GARDEN – newly created this year

 

On a triangle of land on the opposite side of the road to the main house we have created a small very peaceful and private rose garden which enjoys fabulous views over the valley and countryside beyond – it’s location is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB)

 

For tranquillity and seclusion for just reading a book, enjoying a glass of wine, or just sitting soaking up the ambience of this countryside our new gazebo this is the place to be!

 

The Island Rose Garden isn’t suitable for young children unless they are supervised, because the entrance gate is onto the Aish Road, which whilst being subject to a 20 mph speed limit (often ignored) is quite busy at certain times of the day. We also ask that guests walk around the back of the house to the garden.

OUR TRADITIONAL SCANDINAVIAN LUXURY BBQ LODGE – NEW FOR 2019

 

Imagine if it’s a cold and wet blustery evening but you and your family are enjoying a barbeque!

 

You are warm, cosy sitting around a fire inside the lodge, the smell of mulled wine in the air as it warms gently over the heat and fillet steaks are sizzling on the flame. The perfect place to host reunions, family gatherings with a difference, the lodge can accommodate up to 15 people.  A wonderfully relaxing way to spend an evening.

 

We hope this will prove very popular with our guests. When you arrive do ask us to show it to you.

 

Using the BBQ Lodge will be by prior arrangement and separate instructions on its use and safeguards will be given beforehand.

 

For reasons of safety children will need to be accompanied at all times.
