Child Friendly
Within all cottages we have a selection of books, toys and games suitable for children. We have smart TVs in all cottages, so there won’t be a problem logging into their favourite app to keep them entertained on a rainy day. We have a lovely large orchard garden which is for the exclusive enjoyment of our guests.
It is an ideal area for children to play hide n seek, ball games and run around. There is a 14ft trampoline with a safety net, swing and see-saw set, and in the garden ‘shed’ there are lots of garden games, balls, cricket and children’s croquet set etc. There are also plenty of sun loungers, and a Gazebo for the parents to relax and watch the children play! For evening there are BBQs and a large fire pit to keep everyone warm.
The village of Stoke Gabriel (1 mile away) is well known for its ‘Crabbing’, so there are a supply of fishing lines, nets and buckets in the garden ‘shed’ (many that were left behind by wise guests, not wanting to pollute their journey home with a stale crab smell!) Children and adults alike thoroughly enjoy this activity! Also in the village, is a child friendly play park.
An assortment of buckets and spades are available to use on many of the lovely beaches nearby – for details see the ‘surrounding area’ tab
